Lots of goodies....

Savannah got lots of goodies from her grandparents for Easter. From her Grandpa Andy and Grandma Gail she got a projector that sings and has lights that show up on the ceiling that is too cute. She also got a bunny, rattle and teether.

From Grandpa Milo, Grandma Laura, Uncle Buddy and Aunt Madisyn she got a bear that plays abc's and 123's, a mirror, rattles and a rocking chair that is from infant to toddler.

Trying out her new chair...she really likes it.

From Grandma Deb she got some clothes and a pink bunny that moves and sings. She LOVES it and smiles when it plays.

She sure did get spoiled her first Easter!!! Oh and from us she got a blanket, a giraffe teether, books and a "my first Easter" bunny.

Happy Easter...

Since I don't usually blog on weekends I thought I would post this picture today. Savannah is just too cute! She is going to hate my camera by her first birthday. But it takes amazing pictures! I just need to learn how to use it a little better. I'm sure it will take some time but hopefully I'll be able to capture some amazing shots of her growing. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and has an awesome Easter. I'll have to post pictures of Savannah and her Easter basket on Monday.

Remember, Easter isn't all about the chocolate, eggs and the Easter Bunny.

Will this work?....

Savannah likes her paci but has a hard time keeping it in her mouth. She'll be good for a few minutes and then out it goes. So when she's upset and we are holding her, we are also holding the paci in her mouth. I have been seeing these things called a WubbaNub and I ordered one last night. It will be getting here tomorrow and I can not wait to see if it actually works. I am hoping it does. We tried every paci she got from the baby showers I've had. She liked the Nuk Genius and she was keeping it in her mouth good and then Pat gave her the Soothie again and she just likes that one so much better. This is the one I get her...Isn't it cute?

Leaving baby...

This past weekend Pat and I had a truck show to go to. We left Savannah with my parents. It was the hardest thing ever to do. We both needed the break though and it was nice just to spend time with my husband. My parents said she was good too so that was a plus. My friend is expecting so it made it a little easier since we talked babies the whole time. The show was good but I was so ready to get home to my baby Sunday. It's horrible but I didn't think of Benji and Bella like I would have if I didn't have Savannah. I try my hardest to love on them but it's hard when you have an infant that wants your attention 24/7. They went to my uncles though and I'm sure they had fun. He has a doggy door so I am sure Benji was outside the whole time. Here are a few pics from the show...

Pat and Jeremy's truck...and the camper we stayed in

All in all it was a pretty good weekend. It was nice staying it a camper rather than our usual tent. I had Tofurkey Beer Brats for the first time. They were alright. It was windy Friday and Sunday and the dust went everywhere. Pat got top 100. The trophy is pretty neat. It's a wooden barrel that you can actually use for beer or liquor. He also got some Mothers products. Hopefully one day soon Pat's truck will get done and he'll get a feature. Maybe next show...

Two months...

Savannah turned two months old yesterday. She is growing like a little weed. She has discovered her hands and has been putting them in her mouth lots these days. I also think she has a little bit of colic. She cries and I can not soothe her. It's frustrating not knowing what is wrong with your baby. Everyone says just let her cry it out but it's harder when it's your own. I am hoping she gets better soon. I just keep telling myself that it's only temporary and she'll be all smiles soon...or so I hope. Doesn't she look so happy in that picture? I just love that baby!!! hehe. I love her with all my heart no matter what but when she smiles she just melts my heart.

Tummy time is going great. She is actually putting pressure on her elbows already. She loves her activity mat too. The mirror is her favorite part of course. She'll look at herself and just starts giggling and smiling away. It is so cute. She goes to the doctor on Wednesday and I can't wait to find out how much she weighs. She no longer fits into her newborn clothes. I hope she can wear her 0-3 month clothes for a bit because she has some cute stuff she has yet to wear.

Santa Fe Chicken Enchiladas...

I am one of the worse cooks ever. I try to make stuff but it just doesn't turn out that good. My husband is an amazing cook. He can just throw things together and it always tastes good. I never know what herbs go with what and what tastes good together. And since I don't eat meat it's even harder because I can never try the stuff I cook. When I was in Florida my sister made some chicken enchiladas with the new Philly Creme Cheese Santa Fe blended cooking creme. It was delicious so I decided to try making it tonight. I actually made a really good dish finally!!! I made some for me with my fake chicken and it was so yummy. It took me a while to make just because I had no idea what I was doing but if you ever want to try something new, I would give this recipe a shot.

Well the baby is fussing so I best get her. Let me know what you think if you give it a try!

Lots to blog about...

Savannah's umbilical cord stump fell off on March 5th and we were finally able to give her an actual bath so the next day we gave it a shot. She really liked it until she got too cold and her poor lips were quivering so then I had to hurry. She seems to like it for the most part. I've got it down now to where I don't need my lovely husband home to help me. It was hard at first.

Savannah and I went to Florida for a week in the middle of March with my parents while Pat stayed home. The baby did so amazing in the car. It was about a 16 hour drive. I was very happy and surprised. We had a really good time just getting away. We didn't do much so it was nice and relaxing. Ally and my step dad went putt putting one day. My mom and I watched and then Ally and I looked for gems in a bag of sand. It was like what you do when you mine for gold. We also went to the outlet mall and M&M World.

 One Month Old

Our god daughter turned 4 on March 20th. We went to the zoo and then had a little get together for cake and presents afterwards. She wanted a Little Mermaid party and of course Jenny's Bakery did an amazing job on the cake and it tasted as good as it looked. A bunch of us went in on a Power Wheels Escalade for Mia. She loved it!!!

Her daddy tricked her and put her bike in the front so she thought that was her big present.

 Lets try that again...

We sure did have a busy month. Savannah is adjusting well to always being on the go...lol. She seems to enjoy getting out of the house. Pat has started a side business and has been busy working so Savannah and I have been going over to my parents a lot lately. I hope they don't get sick of us! hehe.
