9 months already...

Miss Savannah is already 9 months old!!! People always say they grow to fast and they are right. I love the little person she is becoming. We have a schedule and when we break it Savannah is not too happy. She likes eating, playing, sleeping and her bath time all round the same time every day. She has quite the personality these days and you do not want to cross her or ignore her because she will let it be known to the world. She loves screaming at the top of her lungs. For no reason, that I can figure out anyways. Especially when we are at the store. She just loves it. I think it's hearing her voice different ways. I try to tell her to shhh but she doesn't really listen. She thinks it's funny and I think it's embarrassing. She likes to "talk" to people when we go out to eat. She looks at the table next to her and gets their attention. That is all she needs. She just does her smiling and little chatting. It keeps her entertained at least!

Sunday, Savannah and I took my Grandma up to Austin. We had a good time. The ride up there wasn't that great though. I totally forgot Savannah's bottles and sippy cup on the counter at home and didn't realize it until we were over half way there. There is a Walmart on the way so we stopped there and got what we needed. As we were leaving Walmart I heard a little noise that was annoying me. I pulled over and it was a screw with a washer in my tire. Luckily we made it and I got it fixed the next morning. It was so not my morning! lol. Other than that it was so nice up there. We did a little shopping but other than that we just hung out outside. Plus we ate my Aunt Sheila's yummy food! She makes some amazing black bean soup.

Here are a few pictures of Savannah today. I couldn't pick just one because she is just too darn cute.

So precious

My babies...

I took this picture yesterday and I just thought it was too cute! All three of my babies enjoying the awesome weather. I hate that it doesn't stay consistent. Some nights we need the air and other nights it's the heat. I've been taking my vitamins. I just hope Savannah doesn't get sick!!! We've been searching for a winter hat with no luck! I just want something to cover those little ears of hers. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE that swing. We use it daily. It was one of the best birthday gifts!

Aren't they just soo cute!

Halloween...

Savannah's first Halloween was a hectic one. I thought it would be nice to make Pat, my parents, uncle and grandma dinner. I made beef stroganoff. Everyone said it was good. I didn't eat it obviously so I filled my belly with donuts and chocolate milk. Oh so healthy. While everyone else handed out candy at our house, Pat and I walked Savannah around the block and she got a few pieces of candy. I didn't want to walk that far because she can't eat it and we don't need it. She smiled and waved to everyone she saw. It was cold out so we had to have a sweater on her and she wouldn't wear her hat so I just carried it around with us so everyone knew she was a pirate. We ran out of candy within an hour and a half. There were a lot of kiddos out. I didn't see any awesome costumes though. We usually have a lot more trick or treaters than this year. Once we went inside we ate some Tequila cake that my uncle brought from Aranda's Bakery. It was alright but I don't think anyone enjoyed it as much as the Tres Leches that we usually get. Oh well. It's always good to try something new! Here are the girls in their costumes. Isn't Ally growing up?!!! She walked around with the neighbor boy instead of Savannah...hehe.

Ren Fest...

A couple weekends ago Savannah and I went to the Renaissance Festival with my parents and my sister, Ally. It was so much fun. They had never been so we basically walked around. We did see a couple of shows that were really funny. We ate yummy food and enjoyed the beautiful day. We ended the evening at Chuy's. It was delicious. I wish I could post all the pictures but since I can't here are a few...

Baby no more...

Miss Savannah is still growing like a weed. Ally weighed her on the Wii the other day and she was 18 pounds! She is so heavy now!!! I'm so glad she enjoys riding along in the grocery cart. She still loves her Beco carrier which is great because I love wearing her and it makes it easier to get in and out of places. (This carrier was my best baby purchase. I never have back pain when wearing her. I've used it so much!) We went to the store a few weeks back and some lady had her purse where the kids usually sit and was so close to us that Savannah thought it would be a good idea to grab her purse straps! I apologized and the lady just laughed. This child has turned into a handful. When we are out and about if someone isn't paying attention to her, she will make sure she makes it known. She waves to everyone and smiles away when someone stops to chat with her. She just started clapping today!!! I get so excited whenever she does something new. She pulls herself up to a standing position and she can now creep along furniture. And she can crawl on her hands and knees, and she is fast!!!

My phone totally sucks and deleted every picture on my sd card. I tried getting them back but I don't know what I am doing exactly. So now I know that I can not trust my phone to hold all of our memories. I had videos of Savannah's first crawl and everything.

My Tupperware business is doing pretty good. I am sure people are sick of me begging them to have a party but it's hard with not having many family members here. I've been doing some vendor shows and getting some contacts so hopefully I will be able to keep growing. I love that it has allowed me to stay home with Savannah for this long and am hoping I can keep it up! I don't think I could go back to work now. I would be heartbroken if I missed something!

Tomorrow we are off to the Renaissance Festival. I am dressing Savannah up in her pirate costume. I hope once the sun comes out it wont feel too cold. It is supposed to be low 70's in the afternoon and only 60's in the morning....brrrrr.

This is from Ally's birthday party. I just love this picture!

Here comes trouble...

Miss Savannah is now crawling. She isn't fully there but every day she becomes faster so she'll be there soon enough. It takes her a little bit to get going but if she wants something, she gets to it. I can no longer keep her on a blanket and know she's going to stay there. She is everywhere BUT the blanket. This makes it very hard to do anything. She likes to touch buttons on the DVD player, play with the dogs food, their water or on their bed. She likes to "play" fetch with Benji. Meaning I throw the ball and if I'm not paying attention, he gives it to Savannah and she puts it in her mouth. Shopping is getting harder too. She likes to grab whatever grabs her attention. She does sit in a cart now which makes is a little easier. She loves it, too. She looks like such a big girl when we are at the grocery store. We've been working on our English, Spanish and sign language. I am trying to teach her the word no but she thinks this is a funny word and laughs at me when I say it. Any suggestions with that one? She can stand up when she has something in front of her to hold on to, as well.

As for me, I have been super busy lately. I am trying to get our guest room/office all set up so I have somewhere to file all of our papers. I am trying to become more organized. I am trying to get the house clean. I am trying to be a better wife and have dinner on the table for my husband when he gets home from work. The problem with that is I have no idea how to cook! lol. One day I will get there. I am trying to eat healthier. One day, I will be doing all of these things. I just have to remember that it doesn't have to happen overnight.

As fall is coming upon us (we will be getting into high 80's next week, close enough) I have been thinking about what I am thankful for. I have so many new things in my life and I am grateful for all of them. I am thankful for God giving Pat and I an amazing blessing. Savannah has changed me so much. She is my world. I am also thankful for all the amazing people I have met these past few months. They will be life long friends. I am also thankful that I joined Tupperware. I have been able to help us out financially, get out of the house and have me time, enjoy great company, and have fun doing it.

I have a feeling that Tupperware will open many doors for me. I will soon becoming a manager and I can only go up from there. My director is so awesome and I just love her. Our team, the BeeWares, and her daughters team, Blessed, are all fantastic and I can't wait to see where we all go from here!

Have a great week! And thanks for reading :-)

Busy, busy...

We have been so busy lately. I decided to sell Tupperware, we went to New York, we've had visitors, and Savannah has already turned 6 months old!!!! She goes to the doctor tomorrow and even though I'm not looking forward to her shots, I can't wait to hear how much she's grown. She is already in 6-9 month clothes. Some 6 months she can wear but they are getting small.

We had a great time in NY. Pat had to stay back in Texas since he had work so Savannah and I flew up with my mom and sister, Ally. She did so good on the flight. She slept and played and didn't cry. I was so relieved. I was nervous that she would have a melt down. We had a scary flight on the way back though. It was from Buffalo to Baltimore and we hit really bad turbulence. We all flew up in our seats and the people that already had their drinks had it all over them. It was crazy seeing the drinks fly in the air. I was so afraid!!!! Savannah was in my lap and I was just ready to be on the ground. On our flight from Baltimore to Houston they let me bring her car seat since it wasn't a full flight so I was way more relaxed. She will never sit on my lap again when we fly.

Other than the flight, we had a great time seeing family and friends. We were extremely busy while we were there so I am sorry for all the ones I didn't get to see! I was also sick so that kind of sucked too. We had a wedding, reception, family picnic, went to the 4H Fair, ate lots of ice cream and pizza, hung out with lots of family and Savannah got to meet her bestie, Gracie. Gracie didn't like the fact that Savannah was getting attention from her mommy and daddy but that is to expected from a 1 year old that has never had another baby stay in her house.

This last month Savannah has grown a lot. She can now roll over from back to front and front to back, sit up (almost) on her own, hold her bottle, eat her toes, walk backwards in her walker, walk when you hold her hands and she eats like crazy. She also loves the pool and will put her face in the water and kick her feet when she's on her belly. Oh and she likes to grab anything in front of her!!!!

Since I have too many pictures to post, I decided to put them in a collage. And since it's taking too long and Savannah is getting fussy, I will have to post the rest of the pictures later.

Where have I been??...

I haven't been getting on the computer much these days. I always think of something to blog about and then never get around to do it. I can't believe I haven't posted in almost a month!!! So much has happened since then. We've been to fireworks, parties, the beach, swimming and Austin. It has been busy. Oh and Savannah has been going crazy in her jumperoo. She LOVES that thing. She is starting to notice things, reach for everything, roll over from her back to her belly, eat solid foods, sleep through the night most nights, talk away and giggle. It is so awesome. I am loving every minute of it. And I am thankful to have an amazing husband to bust his butt working so I can stay home and watch Savannah grow. I might not get to for much longer but I couldn't have imagined going back to work after 6 weeks. I love that I've been able to spend all my time with her, play with her, laugh with her, feed her; it's all so awesome.

Today, Savannah is 5 months old!!! I remember my pregnancy going by so fast and it seems like now it's going by even faster. I just want it to slow down a little bit. I know it isn't going to be much longer and I am going to talk about her first steps and her first birthday. I just want to enjoy her being a baby a little longer.

We will be heading to NY in two weeks. We are going to be extremely busy and I might not get to see everyone but I am glad I get to take Savannah to meet some of her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends....and she gets to see all the ones that were able to come down when she was born.

Savannah's ears...

We took Savannah on Saturday to get her ears pierced. She started crying as soon as I held her head. The girl did one right after the other so it was done in less than a minute and she calmed down as soon as we put a bottle in her mouth but it was so hard seeing her so sad. She looks awful cute though!!! You can't really see it in the picture though. I'll try to get a better one this week.

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great day today. My parents kept Savannah last night so Pat and I went to the sprint car races and we ran into some friends. We just hung out and had a really good time. Then we got up and picked up some steaks and went to my parents. We had steaks (I had a Tofurkey Kielbasa), red potatoes, squash and corn. It was all so good. I had a couple Shiner Blondes too. I have to say that may be one of my top beer choices now. I think I still like my Corona better though. lol. When we got home we fed the baby some cereal. Which by the way she loves. She was eating away at it. We stopped feeding her because we didn't know if it was okay. lol. The doctor said it usually takes them a while to get a hang of things but this girl eats it right up. I'm sure it's fine but I don't want to give her too much. Savannah then got a bath and went to bed. It was a really nice and relaxing day. I even got some sun.

She's already a daddy's girl. She'll just sit and watch him play his game. She likes all the action on the screen.

Fun day at Kemah...

On Sunday, Savannah and I went to Kemah with my Aunt Sheila, Veronica, Beth, Mia, Emma and Ally. It was a good day other than it got a little warm and we were running from shaded spot to shaded spot. They don't have a lot of shade there. Plus I was nervous putting sunblock on the baby since I never asked her dr if it was okay (I finally asked and she said yes, yes, yes so I guess I don't have to worry about it anymore). Savannah rode in the double stroller with Emma and she loved it. She was talking away and playing with her toy. Emma kept trying to touch her. It was super cute. We ate at Brick Oven Pizza and it was yummy. As we were leaving, Beth's car wouldn't start and can you believe we couldn't find jumper cables. Her battery was dead and it is weird that it happened to her because my battery just went out two weeks ago. Luckily they don't live too far away and her husband came to the rescue.

4 month stats...

Savannah had her 4 month check up yesterday. She had to get a shot in both legs and then a medicine orally. She is growing beautifully as her pediatrician always says. She is 14 1/2 lbs and 25 1/4" long. She is my little chubbers. Her dr said she could start trying out cereal so we tried it tonight. It was sooo cute. Of course she only had a couple spoons full but the dr said it's good to get her used to eating and then at 6 months she'll be ready to start eating all the good stuff. My goal is to make all her baby food. I also want to do organic fruits and veggies. I will buy some organic baby food for when we are out and stuff but for the most part she will have all fresh stuff. I feel like this is way healthier for her.

I haven't been breastfeeding (pumping and feeding by a bottle) for a month now and I am kind of having regrets for not sticking with the pumping. I hope the next baby will not have a latching problem and I will be able to breastfeed. Actual breastfeeding was so rough on me and Savannah and I just couldn't handle it any longer. Also, she was always hungry and I didn't feel like it was right for us. Pumping absolutely sucks and I am very proud of myself for doing it for 3 solid months. I'm also not sure if Savannah has a milk allergy and if the breast milk was what was causing her horrible fussiness. Once I quit giving her breast milk and put her on sensitive formula she was a way happier baby. Oh well, it's over now and maybe next time it will work out better. I guess I shouldn't beat myself up over it.

Here are a few pictures of my poor baby and her bandaids and some of her eating cereal.

4 months...

So I am getting pretty bad about blogging and I hate it. I wish I had the words to fill a post every day. Most days I don't even get on the computer. I try to get better. Maybe some day I will be. Now that I've been getting Savannah to sleep around 8 maybe I can start posting more. Now enough ranting about that...lol

My once newborn baby is no longer little. She is getting so big. I swear she grows like a weed. She can now touch the floor in her jumper. I had a book underneath her feet and I kept switching it out to a thinner book. My parents came over for dinner today and my step dad said he bet she didn't need the book anymore. We took it out and there her feet hit the ground. It kind of makes me sad. I was snuggling her to sleep tonight and realized how long she's getting.

She's been chewing on everything. Her toys are now getting lots of use. Her favorite has to be her Sophie the Giraffe. We take it everywhere. It's like a paci to her. She just chews away on that thing. I read that most parents love that toy but I didn't think it was going to be this great. She goes to her 4 month check up tomorrow so I'll know her stats then. She has to get more shots and I am so not looking forward to that.

I've had to put away Savannah's 0-3 month clothes. And soon I will need to put away her swing and chair. I have a feeling the swing will be hard to part with. She loves it. When she gets cranky we'll put her in there and she'll usually drift away to sleepy land. She has an outside swing at my parents and likes to fall asleep in it as well when we swing her. It's too cute.

I need to do some blog updates on everything that has been going on. Hopefully in the next few days I'll post some pictures so be on the lookout! :)

A day at the beach...

Savannah and I went to the beach last Saturday with my cousin Beth, her girls, our friend Britny and her little boy. It was so much fun. The weather was great. A little on the windy side but that made it feel cooler out. Savannah was very well behaved. I put her feet in the water and she wiggled her toes in the sand. She loves being outdoors which I am so thankful for. Afterwards, we walked over to The Spot and ate. They have awesome veggie burgers and their waffle fries are delicious.

Oh and I forgot to mention...Savannah had to wear a size 4 diaper on the way home because her momma forgot to check her diaper bag before we left to make sure she had enough. I guess it is a lesson learned. lol. Thankfully Beth had a spare!
