42 days...

That's how many days I have left until my official due date. I know I say this every week but I can't believe how fast my due date is approaching. A little over a month and I will get to hold a newborn baby girl that is all mine. I just can't wait! I am praying she will come a little early since I have completely hit the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy. My back hurts, I'm exhausted all the time, Savannah loves being bunched up in my ribs, and the list goes on. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. Pat and I are just so blessed and I'm so thankful that I've had a pretty much easy going pregnancy so far. Please pray that I can have the natural birth that I want to have and that I wont have to be induced. I am sure going to need it but I think it's the best for me and for Savannah. I'm not completely against an epidural but I would rather not have any drugs since the recovery time is way faster and easier. Plus I've never been a big drug person whether it be Tylenol or cough syrup.

Since I didn't post a belly pic last week, I'll post two this week!

We had a great New Year's Eve at our neighbors house. It was a good time even though they had a Margarita machine and I couldn't have any...hehe. We all just hung out, ate good food and saw some awesome fireworks at midnight. I can't wait to have a drink! A glass of wine with my dinner, or a margarita when I go to a Mexican restaurant. I sure have missed that.

Here are a couple pictures from the night.

Me and my belly

I'm hoping I don't get too much bigger in the last 6 weeks. Wish me luck! Oh and I have come to the conclusion that I am completely addicted to Root Beer. I used to drink it occasionally but I have to have it daily these days. If I don't have any, I start thinking about it and have to go get some. lol. It's just the most amazing thing ever!!! I know I should be drinking mostly water but I think Savannah just loves Root Beer. Hopefully it's just a pregnancy thing and I stop drinking it as much after the baby comes.

This weekend I AM completing the nursery, or as much as I can of it. I bought letters to put Savannah's name on the wall but I have to wait for them to get here since I ordered them online. Hopefully they ship pretty fast. As soon as the closet organizer is in, I can finish in there and then hang up the other few things I have. I can't wait to see it done. I think it is going to come out cute. Maybe I will make a trip down to Galveston since Rita's opened and I have been dying to go there again ever since Pat and I were in Florida. It has amazing custard and Italian ice. We'll see...45 minutes for ice cream seems like a little too much. lol

Since tomorrow is Friday and all, I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! I see lots of sleep and cleaning in my weekend. Oh and maybe a good book! hehe.

  1. Hey Heather, so excited for you! I had my little one 6 weeks ago. His name is Renner my maiden name. I hope very much that you have the natural birth you want. Remember to try and stay relaxed, laughing and maintaining a positive mood actually helps your cervix move faster once your contractions start. I actually had Renner 4 days early but my contractions started 9 days early, yeah my labor was 5 days long, not normal but I wanted a home birth and I was very comfortable and my body was fine! You can do it girl! Good luck to you and Pat! Be strong and whatever happens stay positive!
