33 weeks...

I have less than 50 days, hopefully, until I see this sweet baby girl in my growing belly. Yesterday, we had our last ultrasound. The baby is head down, which is great, so lets hope she doesn't flip around. She was lazy and wouldn't wake up for us but she moved a little bit. Hopefully she isn't saving all of her energy for when she comes into this world. She can sleep all that she wants. She is weighing in at 4 lbs 14 ounces. I have a feeling she will come on February 13th. I have no idea why, I just have that date stuck in my head for some odd reason. Here is a picture of her face from yesterday:

Our birthing classes are going great. I am learning so much that I didn't know and am so glad that we are taking them. We have two more left and then we'll be done. It's so crazy how fast everything is coming up!!!

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas! Pat got me a new camera, my parents got me a Kindle and my mother in law got me my NAP Sleeved blanket I've been wanting and my yearly ornament that is the prettiest by far. I can't wait to hang it on the tree next year. Of course this Christmas has no comparison on what next Christmas is going to be! I can't wait to dress Savannah up with all the cute holiday clothes and get her pictures done. I'm sure it will be here before we know it.

Enjoy the last two days of 2010 and I hope everyone has an awesome time bringing in the new year. Remember, don't drink and drive!!! It's not worth it. We will be going to our neighbors and hanging out. It's nice and close to home and if I get too tired I can leave Pat there and go home and sleep...hehe. Hopefully I can make it!!!

31 weeks...

Yesterday was the start of my 31st week. This baby is going to be here in no time! We have yet to completely finish the nursery but hopefully on Sunday we can get it done. Saturday is my 4th and final baby shower and I can't wait to see all of my family and friends!

It's crazy that Christmas is next Saturday! Today I am getting all the boxes that I have to shipped to NY. Hopefully UPS isn't too busy today but I am sure they will be. After UPS, I will be spending my afternoon in the kitchen baking Christmas cookies. I hope I have everything I need!

Here is a picture of our Christmas tree. We weren't even going to put one up but then I just had to. Does anyone else have a special ornament? I do! Since 2004, my mother in law has bought me a crystal ornament, either Swarovski or Mikasa. They are my absolute favorite and I get excited every year to see what it looks like. I've read that people let their kids pick a new ornament every year and I think that is such a good idea. I think we will do that. Next year we'll go all out and decorate like crazy. And of course have a real tree!

8 more days till Christmas so if you haven't finished your shopping, you better get on it! Mine is done and I almost have everything wrapped too! Such a relief. I plan on staying away from the stores and malls this weekend. It's going to be insane. Have a great weekend everyone! :)

30 weeks...

As of today, I am 30 weeks pregnant. I'm almost down to single digit weeks which is just crazy. If the baby were to come early, she has a greater than 90% survival rate. Hopefully she stays in a little bit longer and decides to come around 38 weeks. lol. That way she is full term but a couple weeks early. I can dream, right?! With my luck, she'll want to stay in and I'll have to be induced. She has been moving like crazy and hurting my ribs. I don't mind though, I love when she moves! I am just so thankful to be able to experience being pregnant and going through all of this stuff that a lot of women take for granted. I'm ready for February though so I can hold this little girl already!!!

We got our infant car seat in the mail the other day. I know I blogged about how I hate the infant seats but with my mom watching the baby it was just easier this way so we don't have to buy two more car seats. The Britax that we have is just too big to switch from car to car so that will go in Pat's truck for now until she gets bigger and then we'll put it in my car and get a new seat for his. He wants one that looks like a racing seat or something...lol. I told him he could get it when she is bigger.

Isn't it cute? I thought so! Pat liked it too which is a plus. Another good thing about getting the infant seat is that we can get a stroller frame for now instead of a huge stroller to lug around. I want to get a Maclaren umbrella stroller when she gets older so this will be perfect for now.

Nursery...

So I have the most amazing husband and step dad ever! My mom has been working a lot so she hasn't been able to do much Christmas shopping which is killing her so she wanted me to go with her on Saturday. That wouldn't have been a problem but Pat and I had already planned on working on the nursery. So my step dad offered to come over and help. Friday night Pat and I got the room painted. Saturday morning we got up and made breakfast for my parents. We made pancakes, eggs and bacon. It was yummy. I've been wanting pancakes but Pat doesn't like breakfast for dinner even though that used to be my favorite dinner growing up!!! After that my mom, Ally and I headed to the crazy mall. Ashley and her friend met up with us there. I got a few things crossed off my list and after I told my mom she had to start buying stuff she did too. hehe. When we got back to my house about 7 that night the nursery was all put together. They painted and hung the chair rail, steam cleaned the carpets and put together the crib, changer, end table and glider. It looks so good! I am so grateful to have such amazing people in my life. I appreciate everything they did to get the room ready while I was out shopping. Hopefully this week we get the closet organizer installed, some little spots touched up and finish decorating.

When we were at the mall, I came across a kiosk that sold hair bows so I decided to get Savannah her first bow. I am sure I'll be torturing her with them as she grows up! They are just too cute not to. I am in love with zebra print and hot pink right now. That is what I originally wanted to do the nursery in but couldn't find anything in those colors so I figured I could use it everywhere else.

We had our first birthing class last night. It was pretty informative and I am glad we are doing it but it makes for a long Monday. We left our house at 5:45, grabbed a bite to eat at Subway and made it to the class just as they were about to start at 7. That means for the next 5 weeks we'll have to leave even earlier. I don't get home from work until about 5:15ish so I have no time to just chill out. We didn't get home until about 10:15 or so. Pat did have to give me a 30 minute massage in the class which was pretty awesome since he hates doing it at home. My doctor's office, hospital I will be delivering at and the birthing class is all in Clear Lake which is about 45 minutes in traffic from our house. It's worth it though because the hospital by our house isn't as good and I'd rather drive a little further and know I am in good hands. Of course I was late to work this morning by 30 minutes. Hopefully I can wake up next Tuesday on time!!! I was just so exhausted and still am!!!

Benji has been awfully cuddly lately. Here is a picture of him all snuggled up with me while I was watching a movie the other day. He is just too darn cute. I know him and Bella are going to love Savannah!!! Bella already loves her toys....hehe

I hope everyone enjoys their week! And if you haven't started Christmas shopping yet, you better start soon. Only 18 days left!!!!!

28 weeks...

We are finally back from NY and back to work! I'm completely exhausted and even though we got back on Friday night, our house is a disaster! lol. We were busy priming the nursery, since the furniture should be here this week, going to see Harry Potter and washing and organizing baby clothes. I know house chores should have been first on the list but since we didn't have time to see the movie when we were in NY, it was a must when we got home. I couldn't wait any longer. And instead of washing our dirty clothes from our trip, I washed the clothes we got from the showers. Who cares if I don't have anything to wear...I don't mind, her clothes were way more fun to wash and fold!

We were constantly busy in NY. I got to see lots of family and friends and was so thankful for everything that we got from our showers. Savannah has lots of clothes, blankets and bibs!!! We ate lots of yummy food and enjoyed being with everyone that we saw. Thanks again everyone!!!

I finally got to meet my best friend, Sarah's, little girl. She is at such a fun age and I loved every minute of being with them. I wish she would just move down here since Gracie and Savannah will be the best of friends. :)

Here is a picture of one of my shower cakes...

I wish I would have had a camera or thought to take pictures with my phone of my other stuff. This is the only picture out of three showers that I have!!! And I didn't even take it. lol

Pat priming the nursery...

This room was a dark burgundy color. Pat finally finished priming it last night. He had to put two coats on it. I told him we should have made the lilac color room the nursery so we didn't have to deal with it!!! lol. He didn't want to since the garage is on the other side of that room and he likes to work in there and didn't want to disturb the baby. He is so thoughtful.

And last but not least, this is me at 28 weeks and 4 days!

My belly sure has grown a bit since my last picture! I can't believe I'm already in the third trimester and starting to go to the dr every two weeks. This baby is going to be here before we know it and I can not be more excited!!! We start our birthing class next Monday, which should be a lot of fun. We are hoping to have the nursery done by the end of the weekend so maybe you'll get to see pics soon!

Crib...

We finally decided on a crib and ordered it last night. My mom and step dad were nice enough to purchase it for us so it was one less expense we had to pay for. Thanks guys!!! We really appreciate it! =)  I didn't even realize that it had a drawer under the bed until I tried finding a picture to put on here. That will come in perfect for blankets and sheets.

We also purchased the matching changer and the crib mattress. Hopefully it will get here as soon as we get back from NY so we can paint the nursery and set it up.

I think now I will be more eager to finish the nursery since we have the furniture. We still have to order the glider but I found one already and will get that when we get back. We got a lot accomplished this weekend in the nursery. We went through everything and now it is an empty room. It is coming along slowly but surely. lol.

The baby had hiccups Sunday morning. It was so crazy. At first I thought she was just moving around a bunch and then I started paying attention and realized that it was definitely hiccups. Pat even got to feel them, which he thought was totally weird.

I need to start doing some prenatal yoga soon. I just need to find one that looks cool and order it. My lower back has been killing me. It's so bad now that pain shoots down my right leg. I tried Tylenol but that didn't even touch it. I hope it's not too bad when we are at the airport on Friday cause sometimes it hurts so bad I can barely walk. And we have only 45 minutes to get to our next plane in Chicago. Which I am already freaking out about!!! But at least it's super early in the morning so we shouldn't have any problems.

Hope everyone has a great week! And to all my NY family and friends, I can't wait to see everyone this weekend!!!

26 weeks belly pic...

Here is a belly picture for the week.

Hopefully it doesn't get huge when we go to NY for Thanksgiving!!! lol. All that delicious food....yum. I can't wait!!! 8 days and we'll be there.

26 weeks...

As I'm sitting here eating my brownie with mint chocolate chip ice cream and watching the CMA's, I figured I'd get a head start on my next days post. Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE country music. I always have and I'm sure I always will. I've tried not to like it but I always go back to it. There is just something about that southern twang that I just love. hehe. Now to get back on track...

Tomorrow I am officially 26 weeks pregnant. I am finally in double digit countdown mode. It's so exciting and I know the next 99 days will be over in no time. I am still feeling great and have only grown in the belly area which I am so thankful for and hopefully it will stay that way. My only complaint these days is my lower back. I think it's the sitting all day long that is getting to me. I can take Tylenol but I've never been big on taking pain meds and with being prego I'm even worse. So I guess I'll just suck it up and try to forget about it. It's only a few more months and it is going to be so worth it in the end!!!

Since I'm already in my pj's, I guess I will take a belly picture tomorrow at work and post it. Plus I've been busy tonight so I am going to sit back, relax and watch the rest of the CMA's. Have a great night everyone!

Little baby Maritza...

Our friends, Manny and Arlene, had their baby a little bit earlier than planned. Arlene's water broke Saturday morning and by Saturday night, Maritza was here. She is a beautiful baby weighing in at 4 lbs 6 oz and 17" long. Pat and I got to see her in the NICU yesterday. She's so tiny. She is doing great though. They need lots of prayers to get her home as soon as possible. Arlene was released today. I know it must be hard on them.

Maritza and Savannah will only be a few months months apart so I am sure they will be the best of friends! Congrats, Manny & Arlene! I can't wait to watch our girls grow up together and get into things! We love you.

Moving around...

Little Savannah has been a ninja lately. I never thought I would enjoy feeling a little one kick and punch me as much as I do. I know it will start hurting when she gets bigger but I wouldn't change it ever. It makes me feel calmer. Lets me know she is okay. I just love it!

According to the books, she is over 1 1/2 lbs now. It's crazy how big she is getting and how much bigger she will get before she arrives. And I know I'll be getting way bigger too!!! I had to go to the dr on Tuesday and I actually lost weight from the last time I was there. I just don't get it. She's is obviously growing since my belly is getting bigger. I am sure I'll make up for my weight lose when I go to NY in a couple weeks. :)

Being pregnant is one of the scariest things that I've ever done. You are worried every day. If she doesn't move around a lot, if you get a bad cramp, it just sucks! I am sure it is easier with a second pregnancy because you kind of know what to expect but no book can fully prepare you for this. I am so ready for February to get here so I can see little Savannah and cuddle with her. It is going to be amazing.

Halloween weekend...

We had so much fun this past weekend. The halloween party was a blast even though I couldn't drink. Pat drank enough for the both of us so it was okay...lol. I drank pink lemonade all night. There was some yummy food too! I dressed up as a bumblebee and Pat was too cool for a costume. Pat spray painted the shirt for me and I made the tutu. My first shirt didn't turn out too well because I used fabric to make the black stripes and it didn't stretch so I couldn't get it on. I started freaking out cause the party started in a few hours so Pat was nice enough to help me out! He calmed me down and got it done just in the knick of time.

Saturday we went to Dallas with my parents and Ally and saw the Sabres get their butts handed to them by the Stars. Even though they lost, I still loved every minute of the game. I wish hockey was bigger down here. It was always my favorite to watch. Even though the Sabres lost, and continue to loose this season, I will always be a fan! Oh and the AA center had the worse popcorn ever!!!

Last night, we handed out candy to all the cute trick or treaters. My parents came over and Ally went with my neighbors son to get some candy for herself. Of course I had to dress Benji and Bella up! Benji was a bat and Bella was a bumbleebee. I put on my antennas and tutu too! We ran out of candy in like an hour. I wish we would have gotten more but even if I would have doubled my candy intake I am pretty sure we would have ran out. If only I could have taken the dogs out, I could have scored big time! They are always a big hit with all the kids and they love petting them.

Now on to the rest of the week! Monday has gone by pretty fast. Once I get home, I have to get stuff together for our camping trip Friday. I am hoping for some nice weather. As of right now, it's low 70s during the day and low 40s during the night. I really wish that it would warm up just a little bit more but as long as it's sunny we should be good. We have a busy week ahead of us but if Pat and I weren't busy, I think we'd have a problem. That's how we are. We like to go do things and have a good time. Hopefully the baby will like to be on the go too!

Hope everyone has a great week ahead of them!

New header...

Thanks to my amazing friend, Mercedes, I have a new header on my blog. It makes it look so much more personal. I love it. Thanks Cedes!!!

Oh, and if you don't like my Christmas theme you're just going to have to deal with it! lol. You better start shopping now....there are only 8 more weekends until Christmas...haha :)

24 weeks...

Today marks my 24 week mark. I took a belly picture two days ago. I don't think I've grown much since my last picture.

It's a crappy picture but at least I'm taking them!!! lol. I am counting down the days until I get to eat pizza every day, open lots of baby things, and see all my family and friends! We will be there in 22 days!!!! I am getting more and more excited every day.

This weekend we are going to be quite busy! We have a halloween party at my neighbors house tomorrow night and then Saturday morning we are getting up and heading to Dallas to go to the Stars/Sabres game. I know they aren't doing too good but we've lived in Houston long enough to know that when you go to a sports game, you probably aren't going to win. lol. It will still be a fun time with Pat, my parents and Ally. Then on Sunday we are heading back in the morning and handing out candy in the evening. I would say picture will follow but since our camera is down I wont be taking too many. Maybe I can get a few cell phone shots of the events this weekend!

Hope you all have a great Halloween!!!!

Burp cloths...

I found an awesome website that had a burp cloth tutorial so I thought I'd give it a try. I have a friend that is due in December and thought these would be perfect for baby shower gifts and for Savannah. I went to Joann Fabrics on Friday and of course they had tons of awesome fabric. I bought way too much but I couldn't help myself. I think I might try to make a few blankets with the fabric too. Here are a couple pictures of the burp cloths that I completed already.

On Saturday, Pat and I got together with my cousin and her boyfriend and we went to a pumpkin patch. I really wanted to get a pumpkin to carve and Casey wanted some apple cider. We both failed. We are used to awesome patches in NY and I have yet to find one down here. Half of the pumpkins were rotting away and the other half didn't have stems. We did see this awesome pig though. We got to go on a hay ride and pet horses. It makes me want to learn how to ride so bad! I have always wanted to but when I get to be up close to a horse it makes we want to even more. Maybe Savannah will be an animal lover and we can learn together!

Of course another weekend has gone by and no work has been done in the nursery. Maybe one of these days we'll clear everything out of there. I did get some progress done in the guest bedroom. If only I could go on HGTV or TLC and have someone come organize my house for me...that would be the best gift ever! hehe

Flashback Friday...Our Home

I read another blog all the time and the girl does this thing where she posts about something in the past on Fridays, hence the name, Flashback Friday. So I thought I would give it a try this week.

This picture is a few weeks after Pat and I bought our first house. We are coming up on being in the house for 5 years now. It's kind of crazy. We've been down here over 7 years already and I don't think I would ever move back to NY! hehe.

A lot sure has changed. We both moved down right after High School. We are now married and have a little one on the way. We've experienced and grown so much and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!

Fun-filled weekends...

We have been very busy the last few weekends. Since I don't have a camera, I stole a few pictures from other people to share with you all.

Ally's Birthday Party:

Emma and I

Ally and her friends....the ice cream cake was yummy!

Ally and V in the bounce house...they had tons of fun. I really wanted to bounce! lol

Jacob and Shana's Wedding:

The Bride and Groom

Pat and a bridesmaid

 Emma's 1st Birthday Party:

The Birthday girl with her new stuffed Minnie

All the goodies!

Last Friday was Pat's 25th Birthday so we went out to eat, just the two of us. We went to Cheddar's. One of our new favorite places. The food is delicious and I can't wait for the one to open up right by our house! They even have amazing drinks which of course I couldn't enjoy this time around...hehe. We went and saw a movie on Sunday and Pat was even nice enough to let me choose! lol. After the movie, we enjoyed a nice evening at the dog park with Benji and Bella. They were exhausted by the time we left. Benji had so much fun chasing the ball and meeting new dogs. Bella would rather me hold her the whole time! lol

This weekend we aren't doing much of anything. I am hoping I'll have enough ambition to clear out some more of the nursery and maybe if I get in a sewing mood, I'll attempt at making some burp clothes. I found easy instructions online but I'm sure something will go wrong with my machine or something! lol

Camera failure...

I was so ready to take lots of pictures at our friends wedding on Sunday and when I went to turn on the camera it wouldn't fully turn on. I did it multiple times, took the memory card out, the battery...everything. Our camera is broken!!! Pat looked at it and said now we can get our really nice camera...lol. So for Christmas hopefully we'll get some cash so we can get a new camera before the baby comes. I am so sad. I've had that camera for about three years now and it has been the most amazing camera ever. It hardly ever takes a bad picture. We will definitely be getting another Canon, that's for sure. And for the amount we've used it, we've gotten our moneys worth. The bad thing is, when Pat bought me the camera for Christmas I was mad at him that he spent so much! I never do that anymore when he buys me a gift now!

As promised, I took a belly picture on Sunday. Here is me at 21 1/2 weeks:

And this isn't the best picture, but here is Pat in his tux, jacket off of course! He looked so cute!

So wish me luck on finding a really good camera on sale in the next few months!

My babies...

Benji and Bella are the best dogs ever. Here is a picture of Bella & I from last night and a picture of Benji. Bella never takes a picture with her eyes open when the flash is on. It must hurt her little eyes. She still looks cute though!

I know they are going to take good care of Savannah when she comes. Benji is probably going to be a little jealous but that's understandable since I've had him for almost 5 years. Plus they are both spoiled so that doesn't help!!!

And this last pic is of my belly at 19 1/2 weeks. I haven't taken one since so maybe this weekend you'll get a new belly picture.

I am already 21 weeks and this time has just gone by so fast. I can't believe next month it will be Thanksgiving and my baby showers in NY. I can't wait. We really need to start on the nursery soon. We've been meaning to but we also had the brilliant idea to finish painting the rest of the house that we wanted done before the baby comes. I love how the kitchen and living room turned out though and it makes our house look more like a home now. So it was all worth it in the end. I'll try to post pictures soon of how it turned out!

The weather here has been amazing here. I wish it would stay like this all the time. I got my first flu shot yesterday. It hurt like a son of a gun and my arm is a little sore today but I know it's best for both me and Savannah so hopefully I don't get sick this year!

We have a busy weekend with my little sister Ally's birthday party on Saturday, which by the way it's her birthday today...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLY!!!....and we have a wedding, that Pat is in, on Sunday. I can't wait to see him in a Tux and a hot pink tie and vest...I promise I'll post pictures of that! :) Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Baby Bag...

When I did my registry, I didn't really see any diaper bags that I really liked. I wanted something that was cute and didn't scream out "Baby". I would kill for a Coach baby bag but that is a little out of my price range having to buy the crib set and not having paid maternity leave but I did find a cute one on the Vera Bradley website:

I love the Sittin' in a Tree pattern but of course they don't have it any more on their site. Maybe if I hint to enough people I can get it for Christmas! That would be a great gift...hint hint

Baby bedding...

I found the cutest baby bedding a few weeks ago and bought it the other day. We are going to be doing the nursery next weekend. It is going to look so cute! Here is a sneak peak of the bedding:

I really want to do letters spelling out Savannah's name but I'm not sure if I am going to yet. Her name is just too long and it might look a little funny. Maybe I'll do something else to incorporate her name in the room somehow.

Today was very exhausting. With the help from my step dad, Pat and I painted our kitchen, breakfast nook, hall and part of the living room. Hopefully we can finish up the living room tomorrow. My friend, Mercedes, came out and we went and did a little shopping. I got the baby two cute onsies from Old Navy. They are adorable! I also bought a wrought iron scroll to put in the living room. I'm so excited to hang it up. It is perfect for the wall I got it for.

With that being said, I am ready for bed! Night all!!!

It's a girl!!!

Last Friday was our big ultrasound and we found out we are having a girl! We will be naming her Savannah Hazel Burchard. She looks nice and healthy and is actually measuring in the 95 percentile right now. The dr said she will probably be a big baby. I was hoping for a little one!!! lol. But I am sure all that can change as the weeks go on. I lost weight in my first trimester and I have only gained one pound back. But these last few days I can feel that my appetite is picking up a bit so I am sure that will be changing soon!

I have been feeling Savannah move a lot more now. Usually at least once a day I can feel her wiggling around. I can't wait until Pat can feel her kick. It is such an amazing feeling. Or at least it is now. I know once she gets bigger and has no where to go, it wont be as awesome! haha.

We will be going to NY November 19th - 26th. We are so excited that all of our family and friends will get to see us before the baby comes. And I bet a lot are excited to see my baby bump that I will be sporting!

16 weeks and a couple days....

Here is my latest belly pic:

Pat and I went shopping today and I got my first pair of maternity pants! I knew the time was coming but I was hoping I had at least another month wearing my jeans. hehe. Oh well, I know my belly needs to grow to make room for this little baby, who is about the size of an avocado this week.

A nice and relaxing weekend...

Friday night, Pat decided to go to the track with a friend. I really didn't feel like going and hanging out so I decided to stay in and have my first attempt at loom knitting. It looked way harder than it was. I am so glad I tried it out rather than watching tv or doing something unproductive. I decided I would make a baby hat. My sister, Felicia, got this for me for Christmas a while back and she had even got me yarn. I was always too overwhelmed with the instructions to try it though! The baby hat turned out super cute. I was so proud of myself. It's not the best hat ever but for my first time, I'll take it. I am now hoping I can find a book and try to make a blanket or something else fun for the baby.

Saturday, My mom, Ally, Arlene and I hung out at my mom's pool in her subdivision. It was so nice out. We had a great time and even got some sun. Then Arlene and I went back to my house and I made burgers on the grill. I thought grilling would be much more difficult but it wasn't bad at all. Now I can make Pat more things on the grill! I am so glad the evenings are starting to cool down again! I got to hang out and chat with my neighbor and enjoy the fresh outdoors without sweating my butt off.

Sunday, Pat went and got another tattoo done. His friend (and the one that does tattoos), Jeff, has a pool so I got to swim all day while Pat was getting tortured inside the house...hehe. Since they have a big pool, I swam my little heart out. My legs are sore today. I love the water. I could stay in the pool all day as long as I don't get super cold and there isn't lots of people in there. His wife, Christina, made some yummy nachos, 7 layer dip and turkey burgers on the grill. The nachos were sooo good. I had a great weekend!

As for baby, nothing new. Pat and I were laying in bed yesterday morning and I felt my stomach and one side was super hard and the other side wasn't as hard. I think it was the baby...hehe. I had Pat feel too. It was pretty neat. A few minutes later, I felt the spot again and the baby must have moved. It still feels crazy to me that I am pregnant. I am so blessed and excited for February to come. We have lots of stuff to get done around the house before then. We've been waiting to see what we are having and then we'll have to get moving on cleaning out the guest room to make into a nursery. I can't wait! Just a few more weeks and we'll know what we are having!!!

Nothing really new...

I feel about the same as last week. Still tired at times but I can do things so I am not complaining. The baby is the size of a navel orange this week. It's crazy how fast the blob is growing...maybe I should choose a new nickname soon. :) I have been eating fresh pineapple like crazy....I decided a couple days ago I need to stay away from it for a bit because it started to upset my stomach...oops! I am also into Kettle Corn...yum.

I am having difficulties wearing my pants these days. They just don't seem to wanna buckle up! lol. So sooner than later I have to actually purchase some maternity clothes. Pat and I went into Motherhood yesterday and I felt so weird looking at things. We walked out and didn't buy anything. Maybe I will do my shopping online...hehe. I still have one pair of jeans, a pair of shorts and a pair of capris that fit me. I'll be good for a bit...or maybe next week. I can always wear my comfy yoga pants for a few weeks!

It's so crazy how fast this pregnancy has gone by already. And I know with the holidays fastly approaching, it will be January in no time. I am looking forward to the end result so I'm not complaining!

Baby moving around...

When I posted yesterday I forgot to write about the most exciting part of my day. I think I felt the baby move. I got to work and started working away when I got a fluttering feeling in my belly. It happened about four times and only for a few seconds each time but I definetely have not felt anything like this before. I thought it was too early but I looked it up and some people say they start feeling the fluttering around 12 weeks. So maybe it was baby, or maybe it was just gas...lol. I'll just keep thinking it was the baby though! I can't wait until I can actually start feeling more movement. I am so excited for that part. But I am not too excited for when the baby is ready to come out and beats you up from the inside.

The baby is the size of a lemon this week. And, it has a layer of hair all over it's body. Weird, right? It's to keep the baby warm until it gets some fat on its bones and then the hair will go away.

I have been thinking about using cloth diapers. Not totally sold on it but have read of people saving a ton of money and it's better on the baby's skin. We'll see....I am thinking it will be too much work. But I am probably going to buy one and possible try them out. They are also adorable! Which is a plus!!! Anyone ever try cloth diapers before?

14 weeks...

So you can't really see it in the picture but my belly is getting bigger so I decided to post a belly pic. I am sure in the next two months it will be cool to see how big I get.

I am no longer sick which is a relief. I thought it was never going to go away. I still don't want to eat that much. Most food don't even sound pleasing to me. I am just glad that I am not totally in love with junk food. All I have been wanting is fruit, particularly, pineapple. I wish I had some right now!

I've been finding the cutest baby things and I can't wait to start buying! Hopefully I will be able to find out in about a month what we are having! Then I have to get Pat to like one of my baby names...hehe. My mother in law couldn't wait and bought the baby a rocking horse. It is the cutest thing ever and I can't wait to see it in person.

Isn't it awesome?!!! Yeah, that's what I thought. The horse's head even moves and it makes noises!

Car seats

Ever since my little sister, Ally, was born I have hated the infant car seat. The one where you can carry your baby everywhere. Letting them swing from one side to next and back and forth. Yes, they have their advantages. You don't have to take a sleeping baby out of the car seat to go into a store, you have somewhere to keep them if you go out to dinner, etc. But they also have there disadvantages. The baby gets to go for a ride whenever someone is carrying them, the kid outgrows it by the time they are 6 months old, and the older they get, the heavier it is. So, I have decided against that kind of car seat. I may change my mind as the time passes and the bigger I get but as for now I am sticking to my guns.

I have always wanted a Britax. Ever since my cousin would show me all the awesome things when she was pregnant with her first little girl and I would keep it in the back of my head for when my time came to buy baby things. I was online the other day on a forum I go to regularly and they had a post about a two day sale at FAO Schwarz and I saw baby items after it. I just had to check it out. As I was browsing the different things they had, I saw it. I saw the car seat that I wanted. It was cute and neutral. I just had to have it. I knew if I didn't bite the bullet at that moment I may not get my Britax. So I bought it. My husband probably thought I was going crazy when I sent him a text that told him I had just bought a car seat but I told him it was on sale and I got a good deal. He just laughed at me. So here it is, the baby's car seat that they can sit in from 5lbs all the way up to 65lbs.

I know it was a little early to be buying things but when you can get a $330 car seat for $141 shipped then you just gotta do it! So if I decide on an infant car seat then this will go in the Hubby's truck and we'll use it in there. That way, I can still use this awesome car seat.

This car seat also gets great safety ratings (another reason I wanted the Britax) and amazing customer reviews. Hopefully when the little blob comes, they like it to!
